I'm calling it...

By Lucy Carrigan

the last day of suffering ... and I'm not just talking about my feet.
A guy passes by our position on radio row, lugging a trolley stacked with boxes filled with copies of a book with the very original  title, "The Audacity of Deceit: Barack Obama's War on American Values," written by another guy called Brad O'Leary.  It is going great guns.  Several well-heeled individuals pass by our table with the book tucked comfortably under their arms.  A young 'un comes running up to me, frantic, looking for the person who was giving out these books because he missed him, and wants to get a copy.

"Did you see him, did you see him," he asks me.

I tell him he went that away pointing to the main entrance of the Xcel Center, and that he might as well take one of the four copies that is stacked up over on the Fox Radio booth right smack dap across from Air America.

"Do you think they'll mind," he asks nervously.  "No, not at all," I said.  "They won't mind at all."

Disseminating false information is nothing new to them.

re:someone ask..

Ask Vonnegut said (albeit roughly) swearing gives people a reason to tune you out..perhaps the reason I'm the only one responding to this...

Further..people in glass houses should not throw stones:

1. Yes he slipped up..you try traveling multiple time zones in short periods of time and criss crossing the country on no sleep...slip up happens...this is why i'm not going to jump on your misuse of "community advisor" when Obama was a community ORGANIZER

That said...if we want to jump on mistakes...I'm a little less concerned with a slip up of 57 than McCain mentioning Czechoslovakia and our setting up a missile defense system in a country that hasn't existed for almost ten years...

So if we want to nit pick about a number slip up (and obvious error) or an amazing example of how out of touch with real world politics McCain is (as this is not the first time he slipped up on what one can only presume he meant as the Czech Republic...see also campaign 2004) and how willing he'd be to send military forces/equipment/funds to places he doesn't even know about...that my friend, is far scarier than a slip of the tongue...
