Today's TRMS
Rachel Maddow will be coming to you guys live from the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnessota! There is no Race for the White House tonight so Rachel will be on for 2 hours, 6-8pm ET.
The big stories this week are obviously Hurricane Gustav and Sarah Palin. Rachel will be reporting the latest on Gustav and discussing why and how Palin was never properly vetted.

Don't know whether you have much control over this, but here're some ideas for music you could use on your new teevee show:
1) "Pepita (iso68 Remix)" by Calexico - from "Black Heart" disc. Suitably sober but also hip.
2) There's a great Radiohead live cover of Blondie's "Union City Blues." Thought all y'all with the recent Blondie posts would appreciate this one.
3) "Beulah Witch" recorded by The Buddy Rich Big Band with Matt Sorum on drums (formerly of The Cure and G'n'R).
4) "Change Your Mind" by The Killers.
